A few years ago, a rickshaw driver abandoned his wife and five children, plunging the family into extreme financial hardship. In the face of this crisis, the eldest daughter chose resilience over despair. With unwavering determination, she took on the responsibility of supporting her mother and siblings while committing herself wholeheartedly to her education.
Her perseverance led her to consistently excel academically. Through a needs-based scholarship, she successfully completed her Doctor of Pharmacy (D. Pharmacy). Her outstanding performance later earned her admission to a PhD program, where she continues to shine—most recently securing 2nd position in her class.
Until 2022, her education was supported by a kind university professor who believed deeply in her potential. Tragically, the professor passed away due to COVID-19, leaving her without financial support. Since then, she has struggled to arrange her semester fees on her own, despite her best efforts.
She has now approached Lifeline Welfare Foundation with a humble request for sponsorship of her current semester fees. She does not wish to accept sadqa and seeks direct sponsorship for her education. However, if sponsorship is not possible, she is willing to accept zakat strictly for educational purposes.
